  • Prosecuted hundreds of cases to verdict, including
       numerous jury trials. Acted as lead prosecutor in jury
        trials ranging from Driving Under the Influence to First
        Degree Murder.

  • Represented the state in hundreds of federal habeas corpus  
       cases where prisoners challenged their underlying
        convictions and sought release or new trials. This included    
        12 death penalty cases.

  • Authored or co-authored briefs for the United States  
       Supreme Court, including a case heard and decide in the
       2009 Term of the Court: McDaniel v. Brown.

  • Argued numerous cases before the Ninth Circuit Court of
    Appeals and the Nevada Supreme Court, including two death
    penalty cases: Sechrest v. Ignacio and Sonner v. State.
